About me regarding my photographic practice

I am a Irish photographer based primarily Dublin and Meath. I have had a love for capturing scenes and what I see since I was very young having painted and drawing for most of my early life which has lead me to the world of photography.

I am primarily interested in documentary photography and portraiture however I've always loved experimenting within photography, constantly trying to push my equipment and knowledge to the limit in attempts to create and learn or connecting other aspects of my life such as music or sport into my practice.

I also aim to do things that are enjoyable so if I'm travelling or shooting friends, an enjoyable experience and good auld craic always comes first. If good photos come out of it, for me that's a bonus. I don't take any of experiences or oppertunities I've had for granted either.

I am currently studying a 4 year BA Honors degree in IADT (Institute of Art Design and Technology - Dun Laoghaire) with hopes of studying a masters or a doctorate in something similar.

About me outside of photography

In a classic ADHD manner I am someone who has too many hobbies and interests, I like to say I'm an 'artist' in many aspects:

In my professional life outside of photography I am martial artist and athlete in ITF Taekwon-do. I teach Taekwon-do under my instructor in my home school as well as teach in my own school. I am on the national team and have represent Ireland in multiple instances, most recently in 2022 at the World University Championships.

I am an artist in the traditional aspect as I spent most of my life creating, painting and drawing before I fell in love with photography.

I am also a musician who plays the guitar and was classically trained in piano but I mostly enjoy playing and writing music.
